Radhika Ghai is a very successful entrepreneur and co-founder of ShopClues and Kindlife. She was born and raised in a middle-class family in Haryana, India. Radhika grew up in a joint family and was always encouraged to pursue her education and dreams.

Radhika’s parents were government employees, and she grew up in a household where education was highly valued. She excelled academically and earned a degree in Mathematics from Delhi University. After completing her degree, Radhika pursued an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis, where she specialized in marketing and finance.

After completing her MBA, Radhika worked for companies like Nordstrom and Goldman Sachs, where she gained valuable experience in marketing and e-commerce. Her experience at Goldman Sachs led her to co-found ShopClues on July 2011, an e-commerce platform that focused on providing a variety of products at affordable prices to consumers in India. The company became one of the largest online marketplaces in India but shopclues saw its downfall after being a prominent player in the Indian e-commerce industry and suffered a significant downfall due to various reasons. The company faced intense competition from bigger players like Flipkart and Amazon, which impacted its market share. Additionally, ShopClues’ inability to raise adequate funding and invest in technology and logistics proved to be a significant setback. The lack of transparency and accountability in its operations and an inefficient business model led ShopClues to a decline in customer trust and satisfaction. Ultimately, the company faced a financial crisis and was acquired by Singapore-based Qoo10 in 2019 for a significantly lower valuation than its peak valuation of $1.1 billion in 2016.
