Their project focused on developing an air-conditioned industrial helmet to improve productivity, safety, and worker comfort.

Recognizing the immense potential of their innovation, Kausthub, Sreekanth, and Anand decided to turn their project into a full-fledged business venture. They established Jarsh Safety and set up a state-of-the-art production unit in Bachupally, equipped to manufacture their groundbreaking helmets. With a production capacity of 3,000 helmets per month, the team was ready to take on the challenges ahead.

Introducing the Jarsh Kepi 2.0: Redefining Safety and Comfort

The Jarsh Kepi 2.0, the air-conditioned helmet developed by Jarsh Safety, quickly garnered attention in the market. These helmets are designed to meet the specific needs of industrial workers, offering features such as a two-hour battery life for senior executives and an eight-hour battery backup for skilled workers. The helmets are customized to provide optimal performance and user satisfaction, ensuring maximum safety and comfort.

Trials, Refinement, and Commercial Production

Before launching their product commercially, Kausthub and his team conducted extensive trials and tests over a period of one-and-a-half years. Their meticulous approach ensured that the Jarsh Kepi 2.0 met the highest standards of quality and performance. With successful trials completed, commercial production commenced a few months ago, marking a significant milestone for the company.

Resounding Success and Expansion Plans

The market response to Jarsh Safety’s air-conditioned helmets has been overwhelmingly positive. Within just two months, they sold around 100 helmets, amounting to approximately Rs 8 lakh in revenue. The team is now poised to expand their customer base and is close to securing an order for 25,000 additional units from the Middle East. They secured Rs. 5 lakh from their college’s startup incubator, VJ-Hub, and received grants of Rs. 1.5 lakh from the Ministry of MSME and an additional Rs. 15 lakh from the Indian Institute of Science. With their own investment of Rs. 20 lakh and a bank loan of Rs. 40 lakh, the team established their company and set the stage for growth.
